"The Grande Ronde"

"The Grande Ronde"
“The Grande Ronde” is a 8” × 12” limited series multi-block woodcut print.
The Grande Ronde River is a tributary of the Snake River that winds its way through the Blues and the Wallowa Mountains just west of Hell’s Canyon in Oregon.
This print was inspired by a lazy afternoon drive that turned into a memorable white-knuckler. If you’d like to see this view, take Troy Road from just outside Wallowa and head north. Keep driving. This is the view just before you start your descent into Troy, Oregon on a tight, one lane, gravel switchback road. No wonder we didn’t see any other cars! Would I ever take this route again? No. Did we take the highway back? Yes.
Note: While the prints are all made from the same wood blocks, they contain variations in color and precision.
